Luitpold Bathhouse

The former bathhouse and today home to the casino is one of the most important historic buildings in Bad Kissingen.

Luitpold Bathhouse shines in new splendour

The bathhouse - established and financed by a stock corporation in 1835 - was built into the largest bathhouse in Europe under the auspices of Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria. In 1905, the building was renamed in his honour and shone in new splendour with 236 bath cubicles. Ever since the end of the 1970ies, operations have been shut down completely. After comprehensive restorations, the listed building is to become an administrative building in 2017.
